In the spirit of all our snow around here lately, I thought I would share a picture of the very first time that Rhubarb and Eggplant ever saw snow. To put things into perspective, they had never felt anything cooler than, say, 80 degrees just a few months before this (The first time Eggplant touched an ice cube, he cried and screamed in Kreyol, "It burns! It burns!").
This photo was taken after we'd spent about an hour explaining to them that the snow was safe. We had to go outside and let them watch us in the snow before they would even consider venturing out. I believe this photo was taken after they'd stood on the porch for at least 20 minutes.
After examining the snow on the ground for a good 10 minutes, they finally looked up and liked what they saw.
