After spending yesterday morning, the first warm day in a long time, on our bikes and at the park, this is how we spent time that others might have had to dedicate to homework:
We ran up and jumped off the large mounds of snow and ice that has yet to melt.
We explored all the changes that have occurred in the lake this winter.
We got our feet wet.
We waded through a slushy.
We broke up some ice.
The wonderful thing about learning at home is that we can truly drop everything to take advantage of a beautiful day like we had yesterday. A day like that lifts everyone's spirits AND it taught us a thing or two about the seasons of the lake.
